2026 Seltzer Guy Six Pack: Week 1
1) ML - Money line
I think my money line pick of the week will be Denver taking the win on the road versus Kansas City on Monday night. Mahomes will be playing his first game back, and I think that it will yield a slow start for the Chiefs while Sean Payton will have his team ready to go from the jump. Betting Denver ML at +120.
2) O/U - Over / Under
I’ll go contrarian here and take the Dolphins and Raiders over total of Over 40.5 points at -111 odds. People are counting out these teams before the season has even started. I think this game can end up having a lot of points simply because neither team has a very stout defense. I think the running backs on each team end up with a long touchdown or two as well easily clearing a total of 41 points.
3) Point Spread
For the first point spread this week, I’ll go with the Chargers dominating the Cardinals in Mike McDaniel’s first game calling plays for the Bolts. They will cover the -9.5 points at -112 odds! I think the cardinals could score a few points, but I don’t think they can keep up with Herbert and Hampton.
4) Receptions
I really wanted to go with Luther Burden to kick off the reception props of the year, but I fear that this game might be out of hand resulting in more running plays for the Bears. Newly extended Deandre Swift will probably get a healthy does of catches. The Panthers meanwhile will need to try to keep up through the air. I think the beneficiary is also a newly extended player in Jalen Coker; I’d bet him at 4+ catches for -139 odds. I just think he is an excellent security blanket for Bryce Young.
5) Anytime Touchdown Bet
This week we will see Tyler Warren score early against the Baltimore Ravens; I’ll bet an anytime TD for the ascending tight end at +195 odds. The Ravens are traveling to Indianapolis where a now healthy Daniel Jones will be able to get back to throwing to his favorite target. I think this is a great matchup for Warren and expect him to hit pay dirt!
6) Passing TDs
I think Baker has a solid game to open the year and gets two passing TDs against a woeful Bengals defense at -112. This game has one of the highest O/U’s for the week. Most week one games usually hit the under as teams are shaking of the proverbial rust. However, I am looking forward to the Baker / Egbuka vs Burrow / Chase matchup!
